Dr Jeffrey Schwartz – Interest Group Speaker and partners EnHansen Performance in delivery of workshops in Sydney

schwartz photo hi res_02Dr Jeffrey Schwartz is a research psychiatrist at the School of Medicine at the University of California at Los Angeles and one of the world’s leading experts in neuroplasticity. Decades ago, he began to study the philosophy of conscious awareness, the idea that the actions of the mind have an effect on the workings of the brain.

Jeff’s breakthrough work in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) provided the hard evidence that the mind can control the brain’s chemistry. He has lectured extensively to both professional and lay audiences in the US, Europe, and Asia.

Mindful Awareness: Dr Schwartz’s presentation introduces and orient attendees to the topic of mindful awareness and its relation to

Sydney NeuroLeadership Interest Group 042 neuroscience, with an emphasis on the relevance of this to the practice and application of neuroleadership skills. Attendees will learn basic principles of how to actually use mindful awareness and gain experiential knowledge of it.  They will also understand how mindful awareness enhances brain performance and strengthens leadership skills.

Dr David Rock – Interest Group speaker and Kristen Hansen is a lead trainer for David Rock’s company The NeuroLeadership Group

david-rockDr. David Rock coined the term ‘NeuroLeadership’ and co-founded the NeuroLeadership Institute, a global initiative bringing neuroscientists and leadership experts together to build a new science for leadership development.

He co-edits the NeuroLeadership Journal and heads up an annual global summit. He is the author of 4 books including the 2009 business-best-seller ‘Your Brain at Work’. David is also the founder and CEO of the NeuroLeadership Group a global consulting and training firm with operations in 24 countries.

Academically, David is on the faculty and advisory board of Cimba, an international business school based in Europe. He is a guest lecturer at universities in 5 countries including Oxford University’s Said Business School, and on the board of the BlueSchool, a new educational initiative in New York City. He received his professional doctorate in the Neuroscience of Leadership from Middlesex University in 2010.

For over 30 years, both in Australia and internationally, he has specialized in stress management research and human peak performance under extreme and sustained high pressure. His qualifications include a bachelor degree in Psychology/Economics and a Doctor of Science (Bio-analytics). A major focus of his work has been the peak performance of individuals, teams and organisations under pressure.

evian gordonDr Evian Gordon is the Chairman of the Brain Resource Company, the Scientific Chairman and Founding Director of the Brain Dynamics Centre, Westmead Hospital, and Director of BRAINnet.net.

He brings over 30 years of science background and medical training, has over 250 peer-reviewed scientific publications and was the recipient of the Royal Societies Eureka Prize for Interdisciplinary Scientific Research in 2003.

Through the Brain Resource Company, he established the world’s largest standardized International Brain Database.  It contains over 200,000 Datasets, including outcomes from being the first company to penetrate large U.S corporations to adopt on-line Brain Fitness Training for their employees.

Together with Phil Dixon (ex-Head of Apple IT Globally and Executive Coach for numerous Companies in Silicon Valley and across the U.S.) and Carla Street (President, ROI Executive Coaching), he contributed to the establishment of the Academy of Brain-based Leadership to integrate brain insights from the Brain Resource database and training tools from MyBrainSlutions.com – into traditional areas of executive training.

CM-new-pic-BWWith over 30 years of marketing and business development experience, Christophe is passionate about understanding and predicting consumer behaviour using neuroscience.

Before joining SalesBrain, Christophe was Chief Marketing Officer for rStar Networks, a public company that developed the largest private network ever deployed in US schools. Previously, he was VP of Marketing and Corporate Training for Grocery Outlet Inc, the largest grocery remarketer in the world.

Christophe has received multiple awards during his career. In 2009, he received a prestigious speaker award from Vistage International, and in 2011 he received a Great Mind Research Award from the Advertising Research Foundation.SBC-logo-300x77

Christophe holds a BA in Marketing, an MBA from Bowling Green State University, an MA and a PhD in Media Psychology from Fielding Graduate University.  He is an expert on the effect of advertising on the brains of adolescents and young adults. He is an adjunct faculty member of Fielding Graduate University where he teaches a Masters/PhD course he created called “The Psychology of Neuromarketing”. He is also a board member of the Neuromarketing Science and Business Association (NMSBA)

Kristen’s background is 20 years Sales Management and Director roles with large Australian companies such as News Limited, Fairfax and Pacific Dunlop. EnHansen Performance focusses on the use of neuroleadership, neuromarketing and emotional intelligence experts, research and related assessments to help leaders and sales people develop their personal, professional and people skills to achieve success and purposeful relationships.
